At Virtual Instruments, we make a concerted effort to keep a close eye on the innovation and research taking place in the IT operations sector. Maybe to no one’s surprise, Gartner is one of the leading advisors when it comes to this industry, and we take every opportunity to soak up information from the influential analyst firm. As such, I recently traveled down to rainy Orlando (yes, it rained the whole time) with my colleagues to attend the annual Gartner IT Operations Strategies & Solutions Summit. Taking place May 15-17, the summit focused on the “crossroads of change” for IT operations, centered around the concepts of agility, innovation, and transformation. More than 800 industry leaders were in attendance and all of them were ready to discuss emerging trends and best practices for IT operations management, cloud operations, and IT service support.
Over the last decade, the adoption of fast-evolving technologies, methodologies, and tools have not only created new capabilities but have also become a catalyst for innovation across the enterprise. Virtual Instruments exemplifies this shift in technology innovation, and summit attendees were keen to learn about new monitoring platforms and how they can assure the performance and availability of both their legacy and hybrid application deployments. Visitors to our booth had the chance to see demos of VirtualWisdom, the only true real-time, app-centric infrastructure performance management, and AIOps platform, and seeing the solution in action illustrated to attendees how much Virtual Instruments has evolved over the years.
In addition to the eye-opening product demos, I was honored to have the opportunity to present during the summit and discuss industry best practices for app-centric service assurance. During the session, I discussed the tools, platforms, and strategies that enable our customers’ IT teams to manage and assure the performance of their mission-critical workloads. Attendees walked away with an understanding of what it really takes to deliver highly performant business-critical infrastructure across distributed modern data centers.
Gartner summits are some of the most informative industry events we regularly attend, and the Gartner IT Operations Strategies & Solutions Summit was a fabulous opportunity to network with IT operations specialists and discuss what the future of digital transformation means for the enterprise. If you weren’t able to attend the event or didn’t make it to our booth, you can still request a personal demo of VirtualWisdom. Drop us a line and we’ll be in touch!
