Building an Open Ecosystem, One Partnership at a Time

By Len Rosenthal, CMO

As you may have noticed, we at Virtual Instruments place an extremely high value on our partnerships. Since 2008, we’ve recognized that our partners are paramount to our success, and we’re always looking to bring new companies into the fold to help us deliver solutions that help guarantee the performance and availability of mission critical applications, while optimizing the cost of the infrastructure. Case in our point: the partnership we recently announced with Cisco, which will make storage infrastructure performance monitoring easier, faster and more affordable – and you can read more about the context behind this partnership here.

October was an extremely exciting month for us, as we announced two new reseller partnerships: One with Möbius Partners, a leading Texas-based IT solutions provider offering best-of-breed technology and services for large enterprise organizations, and another with PlexNet, an Australian-based specialist in networking, application, infrastructure and security testing and analysis. Both partnerships allow us to reach new customers and give IT managers and collaborative teams the clarity, control and authoritative understanding required to continually optimize their hybrid data centers. Here’s Möbius Partners’ take on our new partnership:

“We pride ourselves on partnering with enterprise technology companies that we consider to be ‘best of breed’ in their offerings. Virtual Instruments is squarely in that category, as it offers highly vetted and differentiated products and services that will simplify the lives of our customers through superior IT operational intelligence. – Scott King, Chief Technology Officer, Möbius Partners

As Virtual Instruments continues to expand globally, our goal is to work with highly regarded regional partners with proven capabilities to help customers make more intelligent deployment decisions and optimize their infrastructure investments. By continuing to develop our relationships with existing partnerships and building out our channel program, we empower our partners to become vendor-independent trusted advisors to their customers. Here’s what PlexNet had to say:

“We are excited about adding Virtual Instruments’ app-centric IPM products to our portfolio as they address a critical need for a vendor-agnostic performance monitoring and testing solutions for the emerging hybrid data center […] PlexNet has responded to our clients’ needs by partnering with Virtual Instruments to deliver the outcomes that customers need and expect.” – Dom Fitzgibbon, Director of Sales and Technical Services, PlexNet

Enterprises are increasingly demanding open ecosystems that offer vendor-independent monitoring and management tools, and the best way to make that dream a reality is for companies to build mutually beneficial relationships with each other in order to provide the best possible products and services to their customers. Through these partnerships, we’re ensuring that more and more enterprises have access to highly differentiated products and services, backed up by companies they can trust.
