It’s September, so everyone’s Facebook feeds are likely filling up with photos of kids going back to school, and football season is finally here! But what’s gotten us excited here at Virtual Instruments are two key storage industry events taking place over the next two weeks – because if you only know a few things about us, one of them is probably that we are serious about our storage performance…
The first event is one that storage industry veterans know well: the Storage Developer Conference (SDC), organized by the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA). Taking place in our backyard at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara in Santa Clara, California from September 11-14, SDC is one of the key destinations for technical discussions and education on the latest storage technologies and standards.
We’re especially excited for this year’s SDC, as our own Peter Murray (Principal Systems Engineer at Virtual Instruments) will lead two sessions focused on storage array testing, and we will also showcase and demo our storage performance validation and analytics solution, Load DynamiX Enterprise, at the show.
As a member of the Technical Council of the SNIA, Peter is one of the leading authorities in the storage industry. His first session, taking place in the Stevens Creek section of the Santa Clara Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara from 1:30 – 2:20 p.m. PT on Monday, September 11th, will highlight best practices for testing modern solid state storage arrays. The second session, scheduled for 4:05 – 4:55 p.m. PT on Wednesday, September 13th in the same location, will discuss the implementation of those storage arrays in production environments.
A week later, we’ll be in Las Vegas, Nevada for Hitachi NEXT 2017, taking place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino from September 18-20. Focused on how digital technologies are transforming businesses, NEXT 2017 will highlight the latest HDS storage solutions and services so attendees can get the most value from their organizations’ data.
At NEXT 2017, we will exhibit and showcase both Load DynamiX Enterprise and our VirtualWisdom app-centric Infrastructure Performance Monitoring platform. By visiting our booth, attendees will be able to learn how Virtual Instruments can be deployed to assure performance and availability of business-critical application infrastructure, and will also learn how to choose the best storage system for their application workloads by fully understanding their application workload behavior profiles of their installed production applications.
So, as we get ready to immerse ourselves in storage infrastructure performance over the next two weeks, if you want to hear more about anything we’ve discussed in this post, drop us a line or let’s connect on Twitter – we’re @Virtual_Inst.
