News roundup: partners and customers benefit from performance management

Raj Patel, Senior Director of Corporate and Field Marketing –

We’ve had a busy few months at Virtual Instruments and have announced great new partnerships, customer wins and interesting research findings. In case you missed any of the updates, here’s a quick recap:

Nasdaq adopts VirtualWisdom for increased visibility

We recently announced a new customer for our VirtualWisdom infrastructure performance management platform: Nasdaq. The exchange company implemented VirtualWisdom because it provides continuous, real-time, comprehensive visibility into the systemwide IT infrastructure, a critical requirement for organizations in that industry. Nasdaq’s choice of VirtualWisdom demonstrates the platform’s viability and strategic value, and signals the growing need for a reliable infrastructure performance management solution within the hyper-critical finance industry.

Partnership with EMC and Panduit brings heightened visibility to the end user

As we continued with our strategic alliance expansion, we announced a partnership in November with EMC and Panduit that provides performance management capabilities and deep insights into EMC VSPEX® reference architectures, a solution that is especially valuable for mission-critical application I/O workloads. Together with Panduit, which provides the Traffic Access Points (TAPs), through which the VirtualWisdom platform acquires the wire data from the VSPEX architecture, Virtual Instruments provides EMC global customers with comprehensive visibility and definitive insights. There are numerous benefits to customers, as the depth and breadth of visibility is vast without compromising compute power.

Forrester study yields insights into IPM for the enterprise

Also in November, the study we commissioned with Forrester Consulting came to an end, and the results, which outlined infrastructure performance management issues in the workplace, began to take shape. Not surprisingly, the findings revealed a number of pain points for IT teams, including extended times to resolve performance issues and a lack of communication among IT teams. For complete study findings — and if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s well worth the time — check out our webinar on the topic, conducted jointly with Forrester and Cognizant.

VirtualWisdom4 verified as Citrix Ready®

Lastly, in late October, our team announced that VirtualWisdom4 was verified as Citrix Ready®. To gain this verification process, VirtualWisdom4 was proven compliant with both XenDesktop® and XenApp®—the testing process ensured compatibility and readies users to increase utilization while ensuring peak performance. Customers operating in those environments now have the option to simultaneously enjoy the benefits of leading virtualization products and solutions while also driving the highest performance for the lowest cost and risk through the deep visibility and insights that VirtualWisdom4 provides.
