Last month, Virtual Instruments was named one of the Top Workplaces in 2018 by Bay Area News Group – the largest newspaper publisher in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, whose publications include the San Jose Mercury News and the East Bay Times. This award is hugely meaningful because it affirms Virtual Instruments’ stance that our people are our strongest asset – and every day, our employees play a central role in creating an environment that fosters innovation and collaboration.
The Top Workplaces program recognizes the best and most rewarding work environments for employees in regions across the United States. Companies that have been named one of their region’s top workplaces have thoroughly demonstrated a commitment to their employees through outstanding leadership and to their local communities through various charitable and volunteer initiatives.
Most importantly, though, is the fact that companies’ inclusion on the Top Workplaces list is determined solely on employee feedback. We had a fabulous response rate from our employees, which points directly back to our belief that our people are our greatest strength.
Diving into the responses, our employees indicated that they find the work environment at Virtual Instruments to be accessible and open. Our engineers, for example, noted that they feel they can consistently provide meaningful contributions to our product strategy and development. Our employees also noted that they feel aligned with our executive management team and stand behind the vision and direction of our company. Results like these underscore why we put so much energy into making sure our employees’ voices are heard, so they can continue to enjoy coming to work every day. So, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of them for their contributions to Virtual Instruments’ success.
